Styles of Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic flowing style of Yoga that links breath to movement in a continuous, smooth sequences. The emphasis is not only the individual postures (asanas), but the fluid transitions between them, with each inhale and exhale guiding the flow of movement.

Hatha Flow Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a traditional style focusing on foundational postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama) and meditation to create physical and mental balance. Practiced at a slower, more deliberate pace, Hatha encourages students to hold each posture for slightly longer, allowing time to align the body and focus on the breath. Often described as a “gentle” form of yoga (but it can still feel a challenge!), Hatha provides a structured practice ideal for beginners, as it builds flexibility, strength and mindfulness over time. By harmonising body and breath, Hatha aims to allow practitioners to connect more deeply with inner calm and self awareness.

Meditation
Meditation is a simple but powerful practice that helps you slow down, tune in and find a sense of calm in the middle of a busy world. It’s all about giving your mind a break – like pressing pause on the daily noise.

Pranayama
Pranayama (pronounced pra-na-ya-ma) is the ancient practice of controlled breathing. It comes from the yogic tradition and literally means “life force extension” – but don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it sounds!

Through simple breathing techniques, Pranayama helps calm the nervous system, boost energy, and bring balance to both body and mind. It’s a brilliant way to feel lighter, clearer and more in control of your emotions.
At The Feel Good Hub, we introduce Pranayama in a gentle, accessible way, so you can start feeling the benefits straight away – one breath at a time.
